Good dimensional stability: Compared with general engineering plastics, the linear expansion coefficient of phenolic interlayer is about 1/2 lower, and its water absorption is also smaller than that of nylon.

Higher temperature resistance: Compared with common engineering plastics, phenolic interlayer has higher thermochemical stability and thermomechanical stability.

Good grinding smoothness: Compared with bronze, phenolic interlayer has a lower hardness, good wear resistance, easy to break-in, and will not grind the shaft.

High load-carrying capacity: phenolic interlayer has higher mechanical strength, such as compressive strength, it is 2-4 times compared with common engineering plastics, which shows its high load-bearing capacity.

Outstanding compatibility: Because the molecular structure of cotton phenolic is mainly composed of hydrocarbon chain molecules, it is similar to the molecular structure in minerals. Therefore, it has special lipophilicity and compatibility, even under harsh lubrication conditions. When it is difficult to form a hydrodynamic lubricating oil film between the friction pairs under frequent opening and closing, intermittent motion, swing motion, etc., it can still maximize the use of a trace amount of grease, thereby greatly extending the refueling maintenance period and service life.

Good hydrophilic properties: The cotton phenolic with special additives also has good hydrophilic properties. It can be safely cooled in water or work in water for a long time under completely oil-free working conditions, eliminating the need for a complicated set of Lubricate seals.

Proper elastic-plastic properties: Cotton phenolic is an elastic-plastic material. Compared with bronze, cast iron, and other materials, it is easy to assemble, and also has the function of absorbing vibration and noise, reducing the impact force of parts in motion, thereby delaying mechanical damage.
